February Things

Fitness goals get a little boring after a while so I am switching it up for a bit. We are already a week into the month so I am behind the game a little bit but I thought I would share my mini goals for February.

  • Get over my fear of lipstick – I own 10+ lipsticks and yet I never seem to wear them. I am pretty sure they make me look like a dork and I really want to start using them a little bit more. It is my goal to wear 4 colours this month. It may seem small but leaving the house with a bold lip colour will help me face my fears. I want to stand out in a crowd, and beautiful lips will help get me started.
  • Positive self talk – Everyday I want to find something I love about my body. Whether my ass looks good, my eyes sparkle or I am just having a good hair day. Speaking positive will help me start to think positive about my body. I am not be perfect, but who really is.
  • Go on long meaningless walks – Life seems to catch up with me and I want to take a step back and enjoy my surroundings. My goal is to take a long walk once or twice a week. There is no intention for exercise but just a walk to clear my mind and wash off a stressful week. It is better than eating a bag of dill pickle chips.
  • Go out for dinner and have whatever I want – Since cutting back on eating out I feel guilty if I indulge in a big meal. Weight loss isn’t easy and I while I know I shouldn’t reward myself with food I want to go out to dinner and just have what I want without the side of guilt trip.

Having some unconventional mini goals will hopefully keep things fresh. I am still working on weight loss ( the process seems never-ending) and I need to start working out a more but for this month I want to focus on a few different things. I want to feel refreshed heading into March.

Mini Goal Check In

So far today’s goals have gone well!

I have been drinking water pretty constantly. My body seems to be happy to be hydrated again (even though I’ve ha to pee 100 times). I had a big salad from subway for lunch. It had lettuce, hot peppers, cucumbers, tomato, black olives, chicken breast and a squirt of ranch. The dressing was a little heavy for my taste.

Tonight for dinner I ate some good old fashion Chinese food. Peach shrimp and skinny noodles filled my plate. This was a total impulse meal. I was hungry, tired and irritable. Honestly though I don’t regret it.

Today’s Mini Goals

I need a little motivation latley. Today I’m tired and cranky. I would love to stay home and eat icing right out of the can, but I’m not going to let that happen. I’m making goals for myself, just for today.

1- drink enough water. I haven’t been as dedicated to water drinking as much as i normally am. My body is screaming for more water. When I’m properly hydrated my cravings aren’t as bad.

2- eat all my fruits and veg- these last couple of days leave me feeling like I don’t even know what a salad is. I need to change that.

3. Go to bed early. This one sounds simple but I just haven’t done it in re last few weeks. I’m tired. Not allowing my body to get enough sleep is making me slip into old habits. Tonight I’m in bed by 10!

I’ll check in later this afternoon and let you guys know how everything is going!
